Ang Lee Dream Film is a Hoax

UPDATE MARCH 1, 2006

The gleeful post below has turned out to be nothing more than an internet rumour:

"Kate Moss is going to be playing Dusty Springfield's lover in a new
biopic directed by Ang Lee. Charlize Theron is cast as the white lady of soul. Here is an article where I rhapsodize about Dusty."

Oh well!! Apparantly my fantasy life is being leaked to the blogosphere. But how do we explain the Theron in a beehive photo?

WAMMIES

Part-time ALP vocalist Lisa Moscatiello swept the WAMMIES this year with her CD Trouble from the Start (which contains a few ALP tracks performed by real musicians). ALP won 2 awards in the electronica category but failed to get to the stage in time to make a speech. Here is the Post coverage. Here is Metro Weekly's report. Guitarist Dave Chappel, who makes sampled appearances on the ALP release Second Avenue Detour, won musician of the year.
